STREAM: Cults Gets A Street Cred Boost From This Freddie Gibbs Re-Work
By Noisey Staff

If we had a nickel for every time we've been listening to something from Cults and thought to ourselves, "Man, this song is swell, but it would be a hell of a lot better with some rap verses over it...", we would be bajillionaires.
But no longer must we lament over the conspicuous absence of hip-hop/twee-pop fusion tracks in today's music!
We first heard about a perplexing prospective Cults project from guitarist Brian Oblivion back in July: "We're working on a hip hop mixtape of the album. Like, changing all the songs up and getting up and coming rappers, guys like Freddie Gibbs and Lil B and stuff. That's gonna be really exciting. We've been dealing with a lot of really bizarre managers ... interesting personalities."
