I love shooting rap shows, so there was NO way I was missing Noisey's debut Rap Party at Santos Party House last Wednesday. Children of the Night opened the show with a solid rap game and so much energy, it's hard not to watch them with a giant smile on your face—these guys clearly love what they do.
Headliner Freddie Gibbs was—to put it simply—like whoa! Freddie's fans REALLY love him. Unlike EDM fans who don't give fuckshit about who they're seeing as long as they're "part of the culture," Gibbs' fans give many fucks and many shits. Freddie gave his fans an excellent show, smoking blunts the whole way through.
Sidenote: I would hate myself if I didn't throw daps to Despot, who freestyled about me taking pictures. Guess I can check off "awesome rapper including me in a freestyle" off my list. Thanks, Despot!
