Get Deep Into Psychological Breakdown of the Mind With Beak's Video for "Broken Window"

Horrible things happen when you're stressed. For starters, your body goes rogue; palms begin to sweat, your chest tightens like someone's pulled a drawstring over your trachea, and your legs lose the ability for comfortable sitting or standing. Once that's happening, the nightmare begins. You enter another dimension, where faces mutate into demonic, otherworldly beings, reality starts to cave in on your brain, and you question your existence. Is this real? What's happening to me? Am I going crazy? Why can't I just be normal? Shit, this is it. I'm going to die. Today is the day that will be known as the end of my life.

The human mind can enter panic mode whether you're sober, drunk, or on drugs - it doesn't matter. The symptoms are usually the same. It's not clear what's happened to the protaganist in the video for Beak's "Broken Window" (above), but I'm willing to bet he's going through some of the same lose-of-control emotions - evidenced by his restlessness on a train carriage and subsequent escape.

The video - which features actor Marc Bessant and is directed by Tia Salisbury - makes up a four-part series, and the episode above is the first part to the band's previous release "The Meader".
