Santigold delivers a sort of MIA-ish wonky version of Bey’s Run The World, in this ode to the US sitcom ‘Girls’ (YKNOW the one with no brown people in it) and is actually way too cool for what saps the chaacters are. It’s packed full of skips and warped vocals and sounds like how music would sound if it became self aware and synth pads all started taking mescaline and going mental. It’s good if you can handle the very acquired taste of Santigold’s voice, cos it does have the capacity to pretty jarring after a while, JUST LIKE THE SHOW LULZ! But y’know, would still rather listen to her than half the women currently in the pop chart. (Oh HAI Ke$ha!)'Girls' is out January 8th.
