This morning my friend Rory text me a link accompanied by the slightly ominous message "open this video on your phone". Like a jaded idiot, I assumed it was something too weird or NSFW to be displayed on my laptop screen for all the office to see and judge me for, but nothing could have prepared me for what it actually was, which was THE BEST MUSIC VIDEO OF ALL TIME. THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. IN MY LIFE.The video comes courtesy of Japanese hip-hop idol group Lyrical School and their debut single "RUN and RUN". Described as a "vertical movie", it's shot to fit the dimensions of a smartphone screen so when you open it on your phone it makes it feel as though the members have taken control of it - opening your texts, scrolling through Twitter, FaceTiming each other. Basically it's like being hacked by a really nice person who just wants to be your friend and show you some wicked J-pop that sounds like someone rapping over music from Kirby's Dream Land 3.
