THANK YOU DANNY BROWN

A king amongst potty-mouth rappers this year.

There's one dude that noticeably got a lot of airtime with Noisey this year: Mr Daniel Brown. The reasons? Well, firstly, a demented star in the making was born when everyone caught wind of his ridiculous mixtape The Hybrid, from then on the music world knew there was a lot to look forward to from the Detroit MC. Secondly, and despite protestations from keyboard warriors like "WAH WAH WAH, WHY YOU ALWAYS POSTING UP DANNY BROWN SHIT", 2012 saw him let loose into the media and everyone quickly discovered that the air of hysteria was not reserved to his music and he did not give one solitary fuck about what he said on camera.

So, here's to you Danny and some of your finer moments with us.

24 HOURS WITH DANNY BROWN

On his first ever live show in the UK, we hooked up with the Livin' Proof boys to trail Danny round the capital, as he lost his shit to some brand new TNGHT tracks AND (as we'd later find out) get wanked off on stage. Welcome to London Danny!

BACK & FORTH: DANNY BROWN AND A$AP ROCKY

The now legendary back and forth between Rocky and Danny had our production guys creaming their pants all the way back from Primavera. Realising that rappers probz don't want to talk about music in EVERY FUCKING INTERVIEW EVER, we got the two break out stars of 2012 hip-hop to talk about the big issues ie. foot fetishes, picking up girls on twitter and Kathy Griffin. You're welcome.

THE PEOPLE VS DANNY BROWN

We had about 15 minutes to burn with Danny. Where the other interviewers were asking him about the "current state of hip-hop" we thought we'd make the most of it and throw some YouTube trolls comments about his current dental plan situation and his fondness for molly at DB. And thus, "The People VS" was born.

BACK AND FORTH: DANNY BROWN AND MIKE SKINNER

Recognising his love for all things British, we got gentlemen musician and mastermind of The Streets, Mike Skinner, to hook up with anglophile Danny for a civilised chat ahead of his extra special show at VICE UK's 10th birthday. Despite the chesterman sofa and amount of tweed on display, things quickly went from discussing the merits of Dizzee Rascal to Skinner confirming that Danny did indeed get rubbed off mid-set at his first ever London show.

DANNY BROWN AND DARQ E FREAKER: "BLUEBERRY"

Finally, there was the premiere of one of (if not the only one if you reeeeally think about it) US rap and UK grime collaborations. After reaching out to each other via Twitter, Darq E Freaker, producer of one of the hypest grime instrumentals ever, umm, "Next Hype" reached out to one of the most hysteria driven voices in 2012 rap, Danny. Naturally, the end product made us all want to get whiplash from push-moshing so hard.

Happy 2012 Danny, we love you, never change <3< p="">
