Angel Haze: "Cleaning Out My Closet"

Haze reveals stories of shocking sexual abuse over her murkiest cut yet.

We all know Angel Haze isn't shy of touching upon dark subject matter, with previous cuts revolving around a world of paranoia and anger. However, this new track cuts deeper than anything she's put out before and reads like a sub-plot from Precious. A LOT deeper I mean.

Haze cleans out Eminem's dark closet of an instrumental and sweeps the floor with her own autobiographical tale of the devastating sexual abuse that she’s suffered since the age of seven. She fills the track with graphic tales of her physical abuse, complete with an explicit vocal impersonating her abuser. Guaranteed, this track is murky as fuck and a little uncomfortable to listen to, as Angel talks of “bleeding from her butt” and being “seven and seeing cum in your underwear”. But whether you can comfortably slip on a pair of headphones and jam to this is beside the point. Haze should be being applauded for her bravery.
