Tommy Kruise Causes Feels with Music Video for "Hers"

This new video from Tommy Kruise is accidentally heartwarming.

If there's one thing that I especially hate about life, it's feeling genuine emotion. I avoid this whenever possible by either ignoring problems altogether, or transforming real issues into a joke via the funhouse mirror in my mind. Whenever something comes along that genuinely makes me stop and take stock of humanity, my immediate reaction is of disgust. It makes me uncomfortable, which was what I felt as I watched Tommy Kruise's new video for "Hers".

The video follows the life of Bogdan Chiochiu, a huge fan of music who is confined to an asylum. The footage doesn't try to infantalize or simplify Bogdan, choosing instead to simply show him going through his daily motions and seeing how deeply music is embeded into his life. It's heartwarming for the simple fact that it isn't trying to be.

Here's what Martin Pariseau, the director of "Hers" says about the video via

I met Bogdan 6 years ago in Cégep, witch is a pre-grad educational institution in Québec. Bogdan is actually not that different than you and me and wants the same things out of life; love, friends, success and freedom. Bogdan speaks 6 languages, knows more than anybody you know about all kinds of music and is the realest person I know. He’s also obsessed with radio waves, always looking to catch a show from Morocco down to Venezuela from his tiny room. For all these reasons, Bogdan and Tommy seemed like a perfect match for each other. Bogdan changed my life and is a true genius.

"Hers" is off Tommy Kruise's untitled upcoming EP
