Sometimes, amidst pop star dongs and rap feuds, you need to get back to something with minimal bullshit and some sick guitar riffs. Moncton, New Brunswick's The Motorleague are here to bring you that unapologetic, fist-in-the-air arena-rawk energy with their new album Holding Patterns. The quartet's brand of neo-grunge hearkens back to the radio-alt of a decade prior, filled with soaring choruses and half-step-down power chords. However, The Motorleague's commitment to faster tempos prevents them from falling into generic sludge, giving them an occasional punk feel. Makes sense, given that they've opened for Alexisonfire and Protest the Hero in the past.
