The Katherines are an all female Canadian alternative pop trio from Vancouver, and their video for "Primitive" is as strange as it is enamouring. Directed by Stephano Barberis, "Primitive" depicts The Katherines as a group of burlesque dancers and woodland witches trapping 80s dancers for their cannibalistic consumption. Through all the era humour lies something sinister about the seduction and spell casting that happens throughout this bizarre video."We could have went very dark with this but decided to embrace a more bizarre vibe instead just to keep it different," Stephano Barberis explains.
