The Turn Up Is Strong in This One: Listen to Sicko Mobb's New Mixtape 'Mulah'

We are wealthy with new tracks from the Chicago bop maestros.

Chicago's Sicko Mobb is making some of the most unapologetically fun music in the world right now. I say "the world" because their sound, a triumphant, gleeful cartoon world of Auto-Tune, is something that goes far beyond as boring and simple a description as "Chicago rap." Plus, this tape takes bop music to some new worlds of production, with beats from Sinjin Hawke and 808 Mafia sliding in nicely with the rest of the project. Otherwise, though, it's its own world, one where turning up is, as Sicko Mobb tells Red Bull, the main focus, where Trav and Ceno are swerving in Jaguars like it's NASCAR, and where literally everything, in true Sicko Mobb fashion, sounds like a party.

This tape follows the recent Super Saiyan Vol. 2, leaving us, after a quiet period without much new Sicko Mobb music over the previous year, with a wealth of new tracks. Mulah is, you could say, musical mulah as well. Soak it up.

For those in Chicago, Sicko Mobb are playing a show this Saturday with the incredible lineup of Thundercat and Leather Corduroys as part of Red Bull's Sound Select series curated by our buddies at Fake Shore Drive. Check out details here and stream the tape below:
