Secret Broadcast Wants to be 'More Than Friends'

The Toronto indie rock-pop duo are taking the power back to the outcasts of rock n' roll.

Boys on guitar, glittery birthday parties and dancing kittens should be enough to convince you to be "More Than Friends," with Toronto’s indie rock-pop duo. Matt Lightstone on vocals and guitar, originally from Calgary, embedded his musical roots after he moved to Toronto and met Keppler, the drummer, where they began to steer their intense melodic-guitar sounds into creation of their band, Secret Broadcast.

In anticipation of their debut album, Filthy Souls, they mention how it “is the closest artistic vision that they’ve ever achieved” working with upbeat pop-rock to make you dance to melancholy that explore topical issues surrounding revolutionizing against the Man.

From working under Seattle’s three-time Grammy Award winning producer Adam Kasper to playing for bazillionaire Virgin founder Richard Branson at a private party, they’re taking the power back to the ‘outcasts of rock n’ roll’.
