Premiere: Roy Wood$ Recruits Sha Hustle and Dej Loaf for "Murda"

The Toronto native recruits two partners to create a song that belongs to a genre we just made up called "ambien-wave".

Eighteen-year old Roy Wood$ may not currently be a household name in the rap scene, but the Toronto native has been quietly working all year in an attempt to change that. After opening for Yung Lean when his North American tour stopped in Toronto, Wood$ has been putting together a number of songs that showcase his ability to sing and rap, or rap and sing, or rap melodically. Whatever you want to call it, it's on full display in "Murda," the latest song from Roy Wood$. With the help of Reps Up affiliate Sha Hustle and Detroit's buzzy Dej Loaf, the song offers a drowsy but threatening listening experience.

Listen as Sha Hustle asks to fornicate with his partner's face and Dej coos in the adorably terrifying cadence we've come to expect from the rookie since her breakout single "Try Me" took over our ears and hearts a few months ago. Look for more music from Roy Wood$ as he continues to put out songs for the remainder of 2014.
