Finally an upright filmed video that you can’t hate on.

There aren’t enough tasteful vertical videos being put on the internet; 99% of YouTube videos filmed upright are littered with comments rudely advising the uploader to turn their phone 90 degrees, and in most cases this is warranted. Thankfully, Francesca Belcourt’s latest video for her track “Meaning” is here to show you that the method your parents use to capture stuff on their smartphones can also be used elegantly. Filmed on an iPhone in Cabo San Lucas, the video displays how creativity and simplicity go a long way. Sonically, the track is a pleasing blend of pop and electronic with Oshea Adams providing his tranquil vocals on the hook. “Meaning” will appear on Belcourt’s upcoming album ZONGS set to be released in late August on the Vancouver-based label Genero.
