Stay Home Alone in the New Video for the Darcys' "Itchy Blood"

No parents. No rules.

You know how when you're a teenager and your parents leave you home alone for the first time, and you think it's going to be the coolest time ever because you'll be all by yourself, free to break all the rules and light things on fire or do whatever else you think is badass when you're a 16-year-old living in the suburbs—but then a few hours after your parents leave, you realize that you're super bored and not really sure what to do because the suburds actually really suck and spraying shaving cream on the mirror isn't actually all that tight.

Well, that's pretty much exactly what the video for the Darcys' "Itchy Blood" is about, which we're premeiring above. With the video, the Toronto-based band hopes to offer social commentary on wealth and youth, illustrating the absurdities that come with the monotony of life. That may be a little too post-modern for Monday morning, but hey, we're enjoying it.

Find "Itchy Blood" on the Darcys' debut record, Warring, which you can purchase here.
