Premiere: Ben Stevenson Pictures the Perfect Woman in His Video for "Imagining You"

The surge of strong R&B acts from Toronto continues as Benjamin Stevenson releases the first video off his captivating 'Dirty Laundry' project.

Ben Stevenson's latest EP Dirty Laundry came out of nowhere to make a mark on the already flourishing Toronto R&B scene in 2014. Now, the rocker-turned-crooner has released a visual accompaniment to "Imagining You." The song's composition may seem to echo that of Drake's "Slow it Down" but that's more as a result of 40's lasting influence on the city's musicians than a purposeful decision. When asked what the visuals for "Imagining You" are meant to represent, Benjamin Stevenson said:

"The song is about a girl that doesn't exist. Someone or something yearned for, idealized, perfect and ultimately out of reach. It's about sitting alone working on music, or whatever and having that vision that's so real. The video is the psychedelic vision of that girl. With that we were able to have fun with the styling and lighting. The four different looks are meant to correspond to seasons and elements for added effect."
