It used to be that rap videos would make an attempt at living up to the opulent tropes that were established in the early aughts, the heyday of music videos. Unfortunately, budgets have moved in a direction that's inversely proportional to the number of new rappers releasing music, forcing upstarts to get creative with their visual treatments. In Ayoo Angie's newest video for "Only Type Of Cheese Ya Get," the Calgary rapper gets creative by having her entourage double as her video vixens as they mean mug through the halls of Mount Royal University.You may remember Ayoo Angie from when we declared her to be the next Lil' Kim, but now she's back and rapping with the same commanding voice over original production by J. Ricky. Peeling back the punchy and booming flow, you can see that Angie's sense of humour is one of the most entertaining parts of her musicianship. Not only is her nickname Spinelli, but she's pulling out of the Denny's parking lot in a Mercedes. It's not like the cartoonish stylings of Action Bronson, but Angie's sense of humour might help her make a run at becoming the Rap Game Tina Fey.
