Turn Your Speakers Up to 11 and Blast Motörhead's New Song "Electricity"

"Electricity" is a homage to the power of rock'n'roll, as so many other Motörhead songs are, and much like every other Motörhead song in existence, it fucking rules.

2015's already been massive for metal's old guard; King Diamond's on tour, Sodom and Manowar are working on new material, and new releases from Slayer, WASP, Venom, Pentagram, Iron Maiden, and Motörhead will (or already have) given this calendar year a much-needed dose of heavy metal thunder. There are tons of exciting newer bands killing it out there, of course, but there's quite a lot of exciting material to look forward to from some of the genre's most established and influential standard-bearers.

I can't pretend that I'm not the most excited to hear what Motörhead and Iron Maiden come up with, and these past couple days have done a lot to whet my appetite. First, Maiden released a super-short but awfully tantalizing promo clip for their upcoming opus The Book of Souls that featured exactly 27 seconds of new music…

Today, Motörhead's done them one better by releasing a whole new song from their own upcoming album, Bad Magic (out August 28—preorder it here) via Yahoo Music. "Electricity" is a homage to the power of rock'n'roll, as so many other Motörhead songs are, and much like every other Motörhead song in existence, it fucking rules and you need to listen to it immediately—preferably with a drink in your hand and your fist in the air.
