Listen to Leisure Cruise's "Double Digit Love"

Sounds sexual.

Leisure Cruise's origin story is actually interesting: Dave Hodge and Leah Siegel were passing acquaintances who reconnected properly in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, when they were both hiding out in Williamsburg waiting for the power to be restored. Both have resumés of note: Dave's a member of Broken Social Scene who's also arranged for Janet Jackson/The Neptunes and Carly Simon, while Leah also fronts Firehorse, on occasion contributing vocals to The Citizens band.

We have their second ever single premiering below. In name, "Double Digit Love" sounds totally sexual, which in turn perfectly suits the music: high def, soaring synth-pop, with a side of spaceship funk. It's the ideal soundtrack for a replicant mating dance. Of course replicants can't mate, but let's not sweat the sci-fi fine print shall we?

Leisure Cruise's self-titled album is out on 5.6 on Last Gang Records.
