Label Profile: Partysan Records Specialises in Unearthing Lost Gems

The mysterious new re-issue label has just dropped videos from Alberto Mondo, Tony Primo and Spanna N The Werx.

As we near the midpoint of 2015 it’s good to see the revivalist record machine/party bus continuing to roll on a full tank. The latest addition to the convoy is Partysan Records, a label that specialises in rediscovering forgotten musical treasures and bringing them back into the public domain.

To start out they are dropping three new videos (that we are premiering) of some lost classics. All have the production qualities and aesthetic that you’d find on your local Korean karaoke prompter screen.

From the Asian medieval love story of Albert Mondo’s “I Eat It at Home”, to the True Detectives/X Files drama of Tony Primo and Nixxie’s “The Hardest Thing to Do” to the awkward sexual tension of Spanna N The Werx’s funky “Friday Night”. All star the A- list talent of B-list acting agencies. All are dope.

There's not a whole lot of information floating about the label or the releases but keep an eye out for an upcoming website and YouTube channel where you can keep up to date with new discoveries.

More than a hint of mystery surrounds each of these videos but we’ve been told to expect more info soon. In the meantime enjoy these lost classics.
