Do you ever look at 20-year-olds who are already way better at one thing than you are at anything and think to yourself “fuck this”?

Well, get ready to do it again. Jarrow is the 20-year-old Dan Oke, based in Melbourne’s western inner suburbs, and he’s just recorded his debut album 2003 Dream. Spoiler alert: it is extremely good.

After spending 2015 studying and playing in Nashville—where all our best go to cut their teeth—Oke has polished off a beautifully cohesive debut full-length release, that sits somewhere between lo fi dream pop and “slacker rock,” if that’s even a real thing.

The July release of first single “Cube,” a kind of late-night serenade tipped him off as one to keep an eye on.

Today we premiere the video for second single “$$ Spoilers $$” which is a tale of Shakespearean Tragedy in Footscray. *wipes tear*
