Gold Class Drop Their Debut Video for “Michael”

The Melbourne band led by vocalist Adam Curley feed off no bullshit raw emotion.

Melbourne four piece Gold Class have just sprung the video for "Michael" the A-side of their upcoming debut 7’.

Created by John Orris (A Paradise), a short film producer originally from Chicago who now calls Melbourne home, the video is effective in it’s simple live footage of the band filtered through hues of purple, blue and pink. Unlike the luxury cinema experience they are named after, no bullshit seems to be the Gold Class bread and butter.

Led by the deep baritone of Adam Curley, the track is one of those rare songs that creates tension and drama without resorting to any trickery but just solid musicianship and lyrical delivery.

Though they’ve been performing for only a small time, the band have already made an impact in Melbourne's live scene where they have drawn comparisons to Merchandise and early UK post punk.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Neil Thomason at Head Gap the 7’ will be released in November.

Catch Gold Class in Melbourne at the Tote with Peep Temple Friday Oct 3 and in Brisbane Oct 24 at the Bearded Lady with Dag and Trainspotters on Oct 25 with Per Purpose, Multiple Man and Workshop.
