An enduring theme throughout the cosmic multiverse of hip-hop has been the abstract concept of "your girl." Lil Wayne and Drake took her. 2 Chainz fucked her, and it only took about a week. Shit, The-Dream loves her. Tory Lanez, meanwhile, is supremely confident in his ability to commandeer your girl, to the point where he's just gonna do it and not make a fuss about it. The Toronto hip-hop polymath has just released his newest single "The Mission," which he self-produced along with Christian Louie and Noah Breakfast. It, too, mentions your girl, but he's not going out of his way to pursue her—Tory's got some marble floors, so she's just down.Anyways, I've listened to this song like 15 times since I first got hold of it last night and I haven't gotten bored of it yet. That's totes a good sign. I like to imagine people will listen to this song while coming down from rolling and they're all dehydrated and shivering but still kinda horny and so they end up fucking but they're not 100% sure if they're having real sex or just imagining it. But, uh, yeah. Listen to "The Mission," you'll thank me for telling you about it later.
