Stream Pikachunes' New Album ‘Allely’

The Kiwi king of dark pop is back with his second album.

Surgery, stitches and scars alongside some general malaise and dejection. It’s been an odd couple of years for Pikachunes, the Kiwi king of dark pop .

Miles G. Loveless first introduced his brand of simplistic, hook based pop with his self-titled LP in 2010. But complications to an old skateboarding injury and a broken relationship have laid him up for a while.

But he’s back with his second album Allely that we are premiering below.

When we chatted earlier in May, Miles mentioned that the delay was due to the breakup of one relationship in particular- his marriage. “This was a period of strong personal turmoil, battles with substance abuse, and of course the breakdown of a lifelong commitment. All of which made for a lot of time with pen to pad."

That seems like a very good excuse to chill for a bit.

But as he says of the new record "I feel after two years of fast tracked personal and musical growth I've been able to release a record that gets across some genuine emotion. Music should be real. Allely to me, is real."
