Shed a Small But Worthy Tear with Save Ends and 'Love Like a Home'

I would be lying if I said this song didn’t strike a chord with me and didn’t make me cry a little.

Sometimes, you have to leave. It doesn’t matter how good it’s going, how safe you feel, how stable and comfortable and easy it is where you are, you have to go to grow, and to do that, you have to leave. It’s a painful process full of fear, anguish, and complete and utter cluelessness as to whether or not you made the right decision, but in the end, you know it’s good for you. Even if it hurts, you have to move on.

“This one's a sad one,” says vocalist Brendan Cahill of Save Ends' latest release, Love Like A Home. “It's about when you're in a relationship that feels like home. It has all its great points and its familiarity, but you know it's not necessarily a healthy situation. It's hard sometimes to see the forest through the trees and realize, whether it's family or other relationships, that sometimes the best decision is to move on into the unknown and start living your life.”

I would be lying if I said this song didn’t strike a chord with me and didn’t make me cry a little (but ONLY a little!!). So, take a listen, even though I just gave you several reasons not to, because it’s actually very beautiful. Then, preorder their album.

Annalise Domenighini is sobbing on Twitter, but only just a little.
