Premiere: Kolley - "Too Much" (Prod. by Metro Boomin)

A whirring, looping trip through trap-psychedelia.

Yo. Static mixtape covers are dead, son! It's 2014, the year for #building, but more importantly, it's the year for mixtapes with GIFs on the cover. When was the last time someone handed you a physical CD? Oh yeah, the 32nd of Nevuary, that's the fuck when, so why would you not have magic little animated images on your mixtape cover? Fortunately, southern spitter Kolley got the memo, and the cover of his upcoming Real Nigga Shit, due out April 30th, has pretty much the coolest cover of a tape ever.

Of course, that'd all be for naught if Kolley didn't have the songs to back his swag up. Which, for the record he does. Below is his newest track "Too Much," produced by none other than man of the moment Metro Boomin (the dude responsible for Young Thug's "The Blanguage," in case you forgot exactly who felt like Malcolm in the Middle), who loops a piano line only to reverse it, creating this weird little oscillating soundscape for Kolley to frolic all over. He's also working with Big K.R.I.T., 808 Mafia, Bobby Johnson, and Zaytoven for RNS.

And, just for funsies, stream "Real Love," produced by Big K.R.I.T., below.
