Perfect Pussy's Remix of "Wicket Youth" is Perfectly Lo-Fi and Crunchy

You can practically hear the VHS tape unspooling.

Sego

When Sego dropped "Wicket Youth" on Kitsuné earlier this month, it was exactly the kind of blissed-out pop-rock we needed to hang on to our fading memories of summer. The Utah-hailing duo, who are now based in LA, are experts in self-conscious malaise—the song references the lost baggage of youth, growing older, and being "just a creature misunderstood." Now, Syracuse band Perfect Pussy have remixed the song to lo-fi perfection, burying the original track's vocals in layers of reverb and static. It's always good to get weird(er).

"Wicket Youth" will be on Sego's debut six-song EP, out via Kitsuné on October 27
