Let Chasms Help You Float Into the Weekend With Their New Video for "Riser"

San Francisco dreamgaze band Chasms premiere new video.

The Bay Area seems to becoming a hotbed for bands that kill shit with precise reverb. From everyone’s favorite polarizing black metal band Deafheaven to hometown heroes of internet trolling Whirr, it’s hard to deny that the bay is producing masters of sound production. Chasms is a duo from San Francisco that mixes heavy electronics and smooth vocals. Their new video for “Riser” serves up a warm bath of a song accompanied by a wild video directed by M.J. Bernier. One would think this video was totally made by someone with synesthesia, with every hum or note syncing up with the colors used in the video. Chasms appear in the video, potentially stalking or following an older woman through San Francisco, depending on your interpretation. Either way you view it, you’re going to be hit with a heavy synchronization of senses.
