OK, so east London duo Weird Dreams have carved a nice little profile for themselves making bittersweet pop. And "Vague Hotel" is exactly that; all big tambourine-laced drums, jangly guitar riffs and cute melodies, until you notice what they're sweetly singing is: "I live in a bullshit building where the party never stops / I’m frowning because this town is just a hotel filled with nothing much." :(The video mirrors that juxtaposition of adorable and miserable by being slightly rose-tinted, but then you have Doran laying fully clothed in a bath looking extremely sullen.
