We at Noisey are all keyed up to premiere yet another season-appropriate track. This time it is "Pleasure Is The Death of Desire" from Total Warr's new EP, out today on Hi-Scores Recording Library.

This experimental Parisian pop group crafts tunes for the dance floor and beach bon fire after party. They take a fun, light-hearted approach to making music. If your band were conceived after a life-altering weekend at Disneyland, which is where the French duo began, the end result would hinge on how heavily one drinks the Kool Aid.

Total Warr - "Pleasure Is The Death Of Desire" by wearesolidgold

For the cynical, it's easy to imagine some mutant swamp beast driven by Negativland-style mania and reeking like Man Is The Bastard's van four weeks deep on a summer tour. Lucky for Kiki and Guigui, the two halves of Total Warr, when they visited the happiest place on earth in August of 2010 they both had girlfriends along for the ride. The sun was shining and all of them decided to fully embrace the fact that 3-D roller coasters can be pretty fun and massive anthropomorphic fuzzy-wuzzies aren't so bad.

The project that resulted from the two Parisians is pure pop without pretensions. So we'll have to score this match French fun-lovers 1, noisescape nihilists 0.
