Electro dude and remix supremo Viceroy—that’s Austen Afridi to his Mom—returns with a masterful rework of Drop City Yacht Club’s song "Crickets," lifted from the group's debut EP of the same name. Where the Cali trio’s original is a straight up, R&B summer jam, Viceroy kicks out the piano plinks and replaces them with clean, bouncy synths. Basically this means now "Crickets" cruises past the BBQ in the backyard and that tiki bar on the beach and drives straight through to the late night-early morning where you’re feeling hazily euphoric, blissed out, and totally content. In short, this is excellent. Did we mention that Jeremih is on this too? Perfect.
