Download: Pillar Point - "Diamond Mine" (Generationals Deep Dark Ocean Remix)

Ear-cuddle with this washed-out synth-pop ditty from Seattle's Pillar Point.

It's almost decorative gourd season, motherfuckers. Let's discuss how you should relax during these last days of warmth before that bitch of a cold front sets in and forces you into six months of sweater slavery. Some people are going to say dumb things like, "Nooo, carving pumpkins is soo fun and seasonal." But that's when you kick some dirty yellow leaves in their faces because winter sucks, jerks. You should also spend the next few days ear-cuddling with this synth-pop ditty "Diamond Mine" by Seattle's Pillar Point. It's the kind of washed-out, sugary stuff that's perfect for reminiscing about drinking margaritas and wearing tank tops and generally not giving a fuck. This version's remixed by New Orleans duo Generationals, who anchor the ephemeral tune with a rubbery bassline. Look out for Pillar Point's debut 7" to come out September 3 on Polyvinyl Records.
