R.I.P Tony Sly

The No Use For A Name frontman passed away unexpectedly today.

Tony Sly, the 41-year-old front man for 90’s pop-punk group you all listened to at one point in your lives, No Use For A Name, died earlier today. The cause of death has yet to be revealed, but the passing was sudden. NUFAN was set to perform in September.

Since joining the pop-punk game with NUFAN way back in 1989, Sly stayed with the band for nine studio albums before embarking on his own acoustic solo career. Although the band hasn’t released anything since 2008’s The Feel Good Record, it was reported that they were working on a tenth album.

Whether or not you listened to NUFAN privately, publically, or just way back in the days of your sexless, straightedge, pre-pubescent life, it’s sad when someone like this goes so expectedly. Thank you, Sly, for all the Warped Tours and keeping angry young boys happy and inspired. R.I.P. Sly.
