Style Stage’s Headhunter College Tour: Kent and Chicago

After last week’s East Coast trawl for two hosts to front our Headhunter show, we drove inland to Kent State in Ohio and Columbia College in Chicago. It’s been interesting to see how the demographic of Headhunter applicants has shifted based on location. We saw a ton of female auditionees at the first four stops. Where were all the men at? Hiding in the Midwest, apparently. Kids at Kent were very into florals and accessorizing, but what really impressed us was the effort some of the guys went to, including one student who wore a bow tie. Nice attention to detail.

Chicago was our second busiest stop after New York and we were greeted by rain, snow, and sleet. Style-wise, Columbia College’s male students showed up with a darker aesthetic. Black is big out there. Kids from other schools like Loyola, Roosevelt, Art Institute of Chicago stopped in as well, which was pretty awesome considering most people don’t even get out of bed in weather like that. Thanks guys. We’re touched.
