Saturday Night Live Gives Deflategate the "Few Good Men" Treatment

SNL's take on Deflategate included Belichick throwing Brady under the bus and a spoof on "A Few Good Men."

Saturday Night Live opened the show last night with a riff on the Patriots recent press conferences on the Deflategate/Ballghazi situation. A grumpy Bill Belichick opens the presser and immediately throws Tom Brady under the bus, by saying he's going to throw Tom Brady under the bus. Brady then comes on and tries to charm his way around it by playing dumb and changing the subject to Aaron Hernandez. When that doesn't work, he brings on the man in charge of the balls, assistant equipment co-manager Dougie Spoons.

Dougie Spoons defends Brady's honor and then he goes off the rails, cribbing Jack Nicholson's meltdown at the end of A Few Good Men. It's a great bit of absurdism that humorously reinforces that nothing is as ridiculous as the actual story itself.
