PREMIERE: XYZ Will Kick Your Ass in Pinball with "Bubblegum"

Check out a track off their cheeky new self-titled album.

XYZ is an experimental rock band composed of Ian Svenonius (Chain & The Gang, The Make Up) and Memphis Electronic (NON!, Dum-Dum Boys, Die Idioten). Their new self-titled record sounds like getting trapped all night in an inescapable city and being totally cool with it. Each track feels like walking down a different dimly lit neon allyway made of fuzz and buzz, kinky vocals and generally groovy riffing. With their new song "Bubblegum," they play some jammy rock and roll all filtered through a high pitch of lo-fi buzz, and electricity. Each song on the record was taken with normal instruments, and each pumped through the sounds of a pinball machine. So when you're listening to this track in the basement of some party, for a brief moment in time, you can be transported to the days of yesteryear; hustling people for drinks at the pinball tables, where time stands still.
