Remember that movie where the girl wishes her baby brother away to a Goblin King and she won’t get him back unless she completes his crazy labyrinth? Or the time that Harry kid had to run around a bewitched maze looking for a silver cup that ended up being a port key to Voldemort? Or Barbarella? Jane Fonda scantily clad and trapped in a rocky maze? How could you forget.
So, here’s the deal. We obviously love music, and if you’re here, you probably do too. But we also love mazes. Have you ever listened to music inside a giant maze? Well, we’ve got three full-festival passes to the You Are Here Festival, an international music festival entirely situated in—you guessed it—a big fucking maze. Sam Hillmer and Laura Paris, of the duo Trouble, have created a this gigantic maze out of two-by-fours and electrical cable walls, and inside the maze, festival-goers will experience projections, sound pieces, video games, sculptures, performances, and of course, the maze itself. The festival starts this Thursday in Brooklyn and will continue for 12 days at the Secret Project Robot Gallery in Bushwick. You can learn more about the details in this here interview we conducted.
