Watch Eight and a Half's Video for "The Turn Around"

It's like that dream you had last night if you downed a whole bottle of NyQuil.

You know that dream you had last night? The one where you were floating amidst a gelatinous ocean that actually turned out to be a huge vinyl record being played by a giant crystal needle while all sorts of horses and weird cubes danced about? That’s pretty much

Eight and a Half

’s new video for “The Turn Around.” Apparently you are some sort of dream visionary though because the director, Christopher Mills, says the video is “a metaphor about the change over from the old world music industry to the new world music industry.”

Eight and a Half features members of The Stills and Broken Social Scene, although what band doesn’t feature members from Broken Social Scene? You’re probably in that band right now and you don’t even realize it. “Pleasant” is really the best word to describe Eight and a Half’s self-titled album. Just plain ol’ pleasant. Incredibly soothing synth-pop that is warm and with just a hint of melancholy. Perfect music for your next weirdo dream sequence.
