Early on in their existence, music videos became narrative short films, and eventually it didn't matter if the song had any direct relation to the unfolding story, or even if the band didn't appear in the video at all. The video became an entity unto itself, a film with its own merit entirely. And sometimes a story is epic enough to warrant a sequel, and rarer still—a trilogy.
That's what directorial team Fleur & Manu did for a triad of M83's most theatrical songs off 2011's Hurry Up, We're Dreaming, weaving a tale of telekinetically powerful kids escaping from an asylum and just being kids (with superpowers) in "Midnight City," and battling the authorities in "Reunion."
"Wait," the third installment of this gripping, meticulously-produced series, was brought to life with support from The Creators Project.
