Apparently Vaadat Charigim and "Ein Li Makom" Is Israeli for Killer Dream Pop

Check out the new track due via Burger on May 5.

Here is a brand new song from Vaadat Charigim (Vah-dot Ha-ree-gim), a dream rock trio from Tel Aviv, Israel. I think this band is going for Sonic Youth circa Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star, but I can more definitively say they are closer to Slowdive thing. Vaadat Charigim is the sort of band that would totally go over well on a Saturday night in Williamsburg. They wrote on their Facebook page that had considering changing the name of their new album for Burger Records, Sinking As a Stone, to Boredom, citing inspiration from Heidegger: “Profound boredom, drifting here and there in the abysses of our existence like a muffling fog, removes all things and men and oneself along with it into a remarkable indifference. This boredom reveals being as a whole.” I assumed Israel would kind of be a hard place to get bored, but we all know what assuming does. You can check them out on their upcoming U.S. tour which falls days after the album's release on May 5.
