UK Fest GlobalGathering to Call it Quits?

The wide-reaching festival brand is taking (at least) a year off

GlobalGathering, an essential node in the UK festival circuit, has officially announced that there will be no 2015 iteration of the event as organizers return to the drawing board to rejig their operations for the future. No official statements have been made about a 2016 version of the festival, and we're yet to see if this is the beginning of a longer layoff.

Here's the announcement from the festival's official page:

"After 13 years of delivering one of the UK's most successful electronic dance music events, the promoters of the GlobalGathering UK festival have decided that the festival will take a break in 2015 in order for all elements of the show to be reviewed ensuring GG remains at the heart of the UK dance market. This will not affect any of the GG club shows in the UK or international GG events. Thanks to all of our loyal fans for your continued support, please check the website for further updates."

The festival is a THUMP favorite (We hosted their Circus stage last year) with wide-reaching programming. We hope to see them back in action sooner rather than later. The brand is still going forth with their planned NYE bash in Birmingham with Annie Mac and Rudimental
