Trapped in an Elevator with Lights in Her Video for "Up We Go"

Bringing a whole new meaning to the term elevator music.

Canadian electropop pixie Lights returns with this one-take video for "Up We Go," which sees her stuck in an elevator, utterly oblivious to everything around her, including Lucha Libre wrestlers and their spandex clad buns. Lifted from her forthcoming third record, Little Machines, "Up We Go" is perhaps her biggest banger to date—sparkling, anthemic, amped up synthpop.

Lights had this to say about the tune and the video: “I like to think that "Up We Go" is an anthem for that feeling of release we experience following a hard spell. It took a lot of moving parts to make this really ambitious one-take video shoot a success. While trying to choreograph the band, all the great extras, the fans we brought in, the set movements, the folks behind the camera, and my performance… there were moments I thought it would be impossible. But everyone absolutely killed it. Everyone was just ready to go.”
