1-2-3-4 Who’s Punk, Here’s Tiny Moving Parts’ New Song “Boxcar”

Tiny Moving Parts’ song “Boxcar” has nothing to do with the legendary Jawbreaker song of the same name. And to paraphrase from its famous lyrics, it’s not punk (and I’m telling everyone, or at least anyone reading this). The song leans more towards the post-hardcore or emo side of things, with prominent homage paid to the twinkle-rock classics like American Football, but with Braid’s penchant for tossing in some serious bite here and there. Tiny Moving Parts could’ve easily fit right in among the endless proliferation of Kinsella projects of the late 90s. Maybe 15 years from now, Tiny Moving Parts will get back together, go on a sold-out reunion tour, and cash in on that nostalgia train. Just don’t call them an emo revival band. Save your breathe, they never was one.
