In case you need proof that this fashion month has been one of the drabbest ones in recent memory, a baby upstaged Alexander Wang’s show for Balenciaga. A baby. In fairness, that baby was Kanye and Kim’s daughter—but that drives home the point even more that this season has been more memorable for the music moments than the clothes. From Anna Wintour wearing Beats by Dre at Marc Jacobs’ show to Kanye holding a mosh-worthy listening party for his Yeezus follow-up in Paris, spring 2015 fashion month is all about music. Here are some of the most interesting music moments to come out of the homestretch of fashion month.

PHARRELL WILLIAMS x COMME des GARÇONS AND MOYNAT
In 2015, everyone will dress and smell like Pharrell. JK, but that reality is slowly becoming possible. After giving us the option to buy his leather Adidas track jacket and matching Stan Smiths, Pharrell has moved on to accessories and released his first Comme des Garçons fragrance, named for his album Girl. It comes in a bottle designed by the artist Kaws and apparently smells “woody.” Pharrell also created a creepy video promo where he puts on a puppet show with the bottle. Because in Pharrell’s mind we are all children, he’s also working on a bag line for the French leather goods brand Moynat that is railroad-themed, consisting of bags shaped like trains. Rumor has it that North West will model the collection.

THE WESTS DO FASHION WEEK
The Future of Fashion™ conquered her first Fashion Week this Wednesday, sitting front row with her parents at Balenciaga. Not to be upstaged by North and her custom Yeezus tee, Kanye dialed up his outfits throughout the week, wearing his first print—this crazy Haider Ackermann blazer—in years, coordinating cleavage with Kim, and stunting in a regal steampunk jacket. The timing of Ye’s new style evolution is curious, especially since his new album is on the way. Will it sonically reflect his new maximal look?

DAVID BOWIE IS
David Bowie’s music, hoarding and unparalleled fashion risks were honored this week in Chicago as the exhibit David Bowie Is kicked off at the MCA. Read our recap of David Bowie Day and check out our interview with the curator who was tasked with sifting through Bowie’s 75,000-object archive.

DRAKE’S EMOJI TATTOO
We already knew that Drake was a walking emoji but he gave us yet another reason to think that when tattoo artist Dr. Woo Instagrammed a picture of presumably Drake’s forearms, freshly inked with the prayer hands emoji next to “6.” Drake still hasn’t confirmed or denied whether he actually got the tattoo—instead he only added to the mystery, commenting on a repost of the picture, “"It will be a debate until the end of time… high five or praying hands… life is what you make it." It’s your move Lil B.

BANKS, ZOË KRAVITZ X COACH
True to our prediction, Banks has made her It Girl status official by landing her first fashion campaign. The alt-pop chanteuse stars in Coach’s holiday ads alongside fellow sultry-voiced singer, Lolawolf’s Zoë Kravitz. Read up on the history of fashion’s music It Girls here.
