The first time I saw a record spinning, I was four years old and my mom was spinning The Temptations in our living room. I was so fascinated by the this magical spinny thingamajig that I felt compelled to touch it. That's when I experienced my first scratch. It was exciting and new, and I was unintentionally recreating the actions of Grand Wizzard Theodore. I couldn't help but to do it over, and over again. So much so, that i decided to add new grooves into the record. Which is when I was told, "This is why we can't have nice things." Thank you, This Cat, for reminding me of that life changing experience.
