Can I say that I didn’t/ don’t get The xx? Is that allowed yet? I like them in that that really big hit they had has soundtracked the tense moments of all my favorite dramality programmes, and Jamie xx being allowed to fly solo post their debut has allowed him to be great, but that’s about as far as my affections extend.
BUT ANYWAY, a very brief, camera phone clip of them performing an as yet untitled track from a gig at Chats Palace in Hackney, London, has cropped up on the internet much to the delight of the BBC who now have something new to soundtrack the Olympics.
Pros: For a shitty one minute snipped the track sounds pretty tight.
Cons: It’s still a shitty, one minute snippet, and really nothing for anyone to lose their tiny mind over just yet. NO PRESSURE NOW.
