Stream The Twilight Sad's Epic and Lonesome "There's A Girl In The Corner"

The Scots ready another emotional journey for FatCat on 10/28. Here's the first track from the LP....

The Twilight Sad are bummed. Hailing from the grey skies of Scotland, not only do they have "sad" in their name but they add the prefix of the sun setting just so you KNOW for sure. But what separates The Twilight Sad from, say, almost literally every band in the world that writes somber tunes is that there is a definite glimmer of real emotion that powers their songs. Sweden don't got Sad Boys on lock after all.

TWS have returned with their latest LP and first in two years titled Nobody Wants to Be Here and Nobody Wants to Leave, due via FatCat on October 28. The effort features "There's A Girl In The Corner," an epic and almost trance-inducing piece powered by reverb-heavy guitars and similarly processed piano that sounds like the soundtrack to your next break-up, but one you'll be happy to listen to long after those harsh feelings have passed. Stream it for the first time below beside the tracklisting.

The Twilight Sad will be on North American shores this fall too, playing dates in October and November with We Were Promised Jetpacks. Dates for that trek are below.
