Apart from a needlessly provocative name, these Salman Rushdies of indie rock share something else with the band who used to be called The Muslims (now know as The Soft Pack): They both make artful—if inert—garage rock out of stray locks of Brian Jones' hair. These are nuggets of nuggets of Nuggets, but they sound like they've been made by kids who do it like they've have never heard anything since Nuggets, and that makes all the difference. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to the American embassy with a flag and a bottle of kerosene.
