Listen to a New Song from Teenage Bottlerocket and Celebrate 10 Years of Red Scare's Dumb Bullshit

Here's to 10 fewer years.

It’s hard to believe but Chicago-based punk label Red Scare Industries has been infecting our earholes for a decade now. It all started as an excuse to release a record by Brendan Kelly of the Lawrence Arms’ side project, the Falcon. Now, 10 years and 50 releases later, the Cubs apologists over at Red Scare tout an impressive discography including everyone from the Menzingers to the Sidekicks to Cobra Skulls. What once was sometimes regarded in its early days as a Fat Wreck spin-off (since it was founded by former Fat employee Toby Jeg), the label has carved out its own niche place in the punk scene.

To celebrate their dubious decade-long tenure, Red Scare has put together an aptly titled 17-song comp called 10 Years of Our Dumb Bullshit featuring all of your Red Scare favorites, past and present. (Pre-order it here.) Below, you can listen to one of the comp’s tracks from beloved Wyoming grown men who still skateboard in parking lots, Teenage Bottlerocket.

Red Scare is also throwing two bashes to celebrate the anniversary, one in New York and one in Chicago. Definitely get tickets to those if you’re in either area and expect cool surprises. And look for Toby who will most definitely be buying people drinks. Tell him Noisey sent you.
