SWF's "Warrior" Is the Catchiest Song You'll Hear Today

You've probably never heard of this dude but this is a good song. Trust us. We are a music blog.

One of my favorite things to talk about is how indie rock is super boring and dead right now. I probably do this because of three major reasons: a.) I am a jerk and like to operate in extremes to get a reaction out of people; b.) indie rock is actually stale as fuck right now; and c.) Arcade Fire jokes are really funny.

That said, sometimes you'll hear a song—like SWF's "Warrior," which we're premiering and you can listen or download below—that grabs you, and you're not really quite sure why. This specific track comes from a Brooklyn-based musician who seems to fit pretty much every stereotype you'd like to cast on the slew of indie rockers in the world right now. Long hair and beard? Check. Tank top? Check. Lives in Brooklyn? Check. But the thing is, this song is fucking awesome. Since hearing it, I can say, with earnest, that I haven't been able to stop listening. Give it your ear, maybe cop the download, and celebrate the fact that guitars can, whether you want to believe it or not, still be cool.
